After each fundraiser we will update this graphic. Help us fill in the color and reach our goal amount!

OUR MISSION

The intention of our mission is to reach out to residents, organizations and businesses in Newtown and surrounding towns, in aiding our fundraising campaign in various ways.

Our goal is to provide skate enthusiasts with a safe place to skate in Newtown. The officials of Newtown are offering us an outdoor land site at Fairfield Hills on which Donate to Skate will produce a professionally-built skateboard park which will then be donated to the Town of Newtown. Parks and Recreation will support and run the skate park.

Skateboarding is a popular, healthy form of recreation for our youth.
In providing the skateboard park to our youth, we believe we will give them positive choices of diversion and keep them off the streets. We hope the skateboard park campaign effort will be an inspiration to any person or group in Newtown for creating other needed recreational sites for our youth, through community effort.

Please consider helping us.

For kids in Newtown, opportunities abound.
Lots of choices to play sports all year round.
Most of the action takes place on home turf.
Courts and fields, yield zest and appeal.

For a minute let your mind ponder.
Newtown offers many teams mostly everything they need.
However there is a homeless one,
who needs ALL OF US to get the JOB DONE!

Skateboarders must have a safe place to skate.
Let's hurry, folks, it's not too late!
The turf that's required, 12,000 sq. ft.
has been acquired,
but we need to hurry or it may expire.
A skateboard park is what skaters desire.
A home built of ramps and rails
allows every skateboard to swiftly sail.

The fundraising campaign called "Donate to Skate 2008"
need contributions, it's getting late!
A little sum from everyone
is sure to get the PROJECT DONE!

Take a look around.
Skaters unsafely skating in our home town.
I believe Newtown understands the logic
in providing our youth with a skateboard park.
Let's get together, we've got what it takes
to give our skaters a safe place to skate!
